"Often university administrations indulge students who think that it's a legitimate form of expression to occupy buildings and eject deans from their offices, to obstruct passageways, to invade classrooms chanting slogans over bullhorns. Even if you are a First Amendment

This is true, btw. I have been funnelled into the complaints process. Will report back how it goes once there's any outcome. Which there'd better bloody be. But I shall follow the process with that pesky hope I always have that we live in normality. Until it's dashed again.

Hey National Library of Scotland, can you explain why my carefully drawn wee flag was taken down today? I put time and care into making my message clear, just like other contributors, yet it was removed within the hour. Was it because of my reading choice?

Thanks to Linda Blade for the reminder of CCES deplorable role in all this. I went to check, and it's true: they have removed all the terrible stuff from their website. But they shouldn't get off that easily. The materials were not merely 'outdated' ...

As my publicist he utterly failed & even worked against his own job description. However, he did promote the fuck out of Grandad's Pride, also by Andersen, which was a picture book with images of fetish gear, elective mastectomies & slogans that read 'Trans kids are magic'.

When this madness ends, which it will, one of the ugliest things to look back on will be how women weren't even allowed to the dignity of owning their sex-specific trauma. The misogyny is simply breathtaking.

Saw a really interesting clip of a discussion between Ricky Gervais, David Badiel & Brian Cox. They were discussing atheism. And saying that it was bizarre that not believing in others' ideology requires you to be described using terminology directly relating to the ideology

If it's possible to write an article about menstruation without a single word relating to sex - disappearing girls entirely - it's possible to write an article about a trans-identifying man without using sexed words - thus _as a bare minimum_ avoiding suggesting he's female 1/2

Ursula Doyle Amanda Craig I couldn't believe my eyes when I read that! They also reviewed Sturgeon's book in this issue, mentioning GC women as if we were reasonable human beings with rights, & opinions WORIADS. 👇🏼🤷🏼

Feeling awfy drained this week for some reason. Oh yeah. It's cos of last week! And the week before! Seriously, Aug has been all kinds of just... relentless, gender wars wise. Keeping steady has required a lot of Meal Deals and river walks, I can tell ye. Bloody hell. 😭😳🤯

How do Bridgend CB Council manage a whole article offering free menstrual products without once mentioning women and girls? You know, those ‘individuals’ who actually do menstruate? Why are females being erased from their own sex-specific menstruation? bridgend.gov.uk/residents/chil…

There's a hit piece on some of us, (Emma, Leslie H and Jo P get named) and the McDonald-Laurier Institute in xtramagazine. I'm open to criticism, but this doesn't cross the low threshold of deserving a link. It's both tiresome and risible, and - believe me - contains nothing

On no topic is it more essential to refer correctly to people's sex than in the crime of deception as to sex. And yet our media continue to refer to the man who committed sexual assault by pretending he was a woman as a woman. 🤯 1/2 dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
