« This paper could have been written by a computer scientist » one of my favourite reviewers’ comments . These two seem to have done OK. Final snap of #SGGDExeter2024
Thanks for a splendid meeting in Exeter👏🏻😃 #sggdexeter2024 Next time 2026 in Bergen😀 #sggdbergen2026
I didn’t get any snaps but it was great to see a great selection of US based researchers joining us including Melina Claussnitzer, Ph.D. Miriam Udler Alisa Manning
The breadth and depth of this genetics meeting exemplified by these two chaps , from opposite ends of the human genetics works #SGGDExeter2024
worth a listen. But be prepared to feel down at the idea most of us will never be able to explain complex science as well as stephen o'rahilly (its pronounced O-RA-hill-EEE) . I am claiming 0.0001% of the credit as the person who plucked the 'computer scientist', now Prof John Perry, from an MSc course in 2006.

great to see this long overdue funding, for the leading geneticists in variation in age at menopause, Anna Murray and John Perry leading teams in Exeter and Cambridge.
Only two weeks left to submit your abstract to EMGM 2024. If you are into statistical genetics, this is the conference to go! Stellar invited speaker lineup: MarioniGroup Matti Pirinen Rebecca Richmond Doug Speed and Gosia Borczyk
