This is having a major impact on some businesses in Devizes. It’s really important that local authorities bear in mind the impact on the local economy when undertaking works.

Attending the Richmond Fellowship’s world mental health day event in Devizes on behalf of Ruth Lambert and Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). It is important to recognise that the unique pressures of running a small business can have a huge impact on mental health so we must support the 5.6m SME’s

In Bristol for the FSB Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) this morning to meet with West of England Mayoral Combined Authority. Hoping to discuss ideas to promote the South West as the fantastic place to do business it is and to make it even better.

Off to Taunton today with FSB South West for the FSB Awards. It is fantastic to have had so many entries and I am particularly looking forward to presenting the triumph against adversity award. Good luck to all finalists but particularly those from Ruth Lambert . #FSBAwards

Today marks one week to go until the old paper #tenpoundnote is withdrawn on 1 March. Why not spend your last paper £10 notes at a small business? (The Bank of England has said it will still exchange the old paper £10 even after 1 March.)

Young people have helped lead all our great movements. How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe; marching and organizing to remake the world as it should be. We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs.

Off to the fist 2018 meeting of the FSBs London Policy committee today. Great start as all trains have terminated at reading and it is now a matter of getting somewhere close! To top it off the SW is now under a red weather warning so may not get home!

Off to visit Parliament with members from Sam Holliday today. One of the things I really like about FSB South West is that ordinary business owners get access to people and organisations they never thought they would. Foreign office meeting yesterday, Parliament today!
