I’m starting off my Lady’s Smock leaf cuttings on damp kitchen roll this year, as I’m hoping they’ll be easier to separate for potting up. After three days under a glass, tiny roots are sprouting. #wildflowers

It’s a gather up empty pots day in the garden. However, under one was a Lesser Stag Beetle, so that pot went back in place. #beetles

Yesterday, after 24 hours of no obvious change, the Orange-tip caterpillar rapidly transformed. The first two pics were taken around two hours apart. The third is how it appeared this morning showing the full chrysalis. That’s it until next spring. #butterflies #caterpillars

Growing through brambles on the local common, what I think is Centaurea jacea. A native to parts of Europe but not here, though there are records of it. #WildflowerHour

The Hebrew Character moth a regular visitor to the garden, but we’ve never seen one of its caterpillars … until today. And what a beauty. #moths #TeamMoth #caterpillars
