Some of RF visited our new Forest School today! Emmanuel loved the fire. Ava found a ladybird larvae. Jordan and Joseph liked "swinging around in the spinning tyre". Florence and Poppy really enjoyed the hammock! Malakye made a feast in the mud kitchen! They all had lots of fun!

Some of RJ got to visit #forestschool today! This group had some very keen bug hunters. We found spiders, centipedes, worms and ladybirds! We also had some expert tree climbers, all learning to manage their own risk and problem solve whilst thinking about staying safe.

Year 6 were very excited to have Peter Bunzl (the author of Cogheart) visit today. They listened to him read part of his book and learnt about how he got the inspiration for his books. Some children also got to participate in a writing workshop. Thank you @peterbunzl

Our Year 5 & 6 Girl’s Football team fell just short to Arthur Bugler last night in a defeat in our first league match of the year. The girl’s played with immense determination & showed fantastic teamwork, togetherness and cohesion, representing our core values superbly. 1/2

A massive well done to our school Dodgeball team who, on Friday last week, competed in the Thurrock school’s tournament at the Gateway Academy. We had a mixture of children from across all of KS2, who represented our core values amazingly! ☄️👏

Future artists on the move! This week 30 pupils from Year 5 visited the Beecroft Art Museum in Southend as part of their Arts Award, a nationally recognised award with Trinity College London.

Another week, another Dodgeball tournament! Well done to this week’s squad of year 5’s & 6’s, who competed in the first event of 3. Indoor Athletics & Rounders are to come later in the academic year for the team! ☄️💪

Year 3 had a fantastic time learning about life in the Roman times at Colchester Castle.

Year 6 kicked off their circulatory system topic in science by dissecting some hearts today. Even though some of their faces don’t show it, they had a great time! Thank you The Gateway Academy for such a fantastic, hands on experience.

Budding artists in the making! To round off our exciting unit on Kandinsky, Year 5 have been creating Christmas decorations inspired by Kandinsky’s famous painting ‘Concentric Circles’. We think they look fantastic!
