So disheartening to hear Dr. Janice Fitzgerald say that children need to be in schools to be safe from violence at home. Children need to be safe, cared for, and fed for more than just 6 hours a day, 190 days a year. Schools are not the solution to these social problems.

Am I the only one that didn’t know schools in South Africa closed for over a month for summer break on Dec 9-15 & only reopened a few days ago? Seems like a detail that should’ve been a key point in the “SA peaked very quickly” discussions but somehow western media missed it.🤔

We were conned: A timeline of how western govts, with the media’s help, generated complacency for mass infection & mass casualties. -Omicron hits SA in late Nov. -On Dec 9 schools start to close for summer break and several restrictions are introduced. -A week later cases peak.

So frustrating. Limited vaccine efficacy seems to have led gov to shift strategy to herd immunity.
