Everyone “selling the rip” today 😂. Iran, Russia/Ukraine isn’t forever. I do think demand for more and more energy is. Noise right now en route to post midterms, late 2026 early 2027. You cannot print energy, but you can print FCF yield at these prices. 🚩 US prod growth.

Hello INFLATION, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence

We rewound the clock to see what the Permian rig count looks like when normalized to the drilling speeds from 2021. The answer: Permian rig counts are at all-time highs by historical standards; unsurprisingly, both basins have continued to grow production while the rig count fell

At this rate, we won't need new pipelines... It'll be profitable to just scoop up some oil and carry it to the Northern BC coast in your hands.

Nothing bad ever happens that some simple QE can’t solve. War in Iran? Let’s just print some more money. Uh what? Higher gas prices? $1,000 Iran war tax credits! But.. but inflation..Nothing to see here, take that money plebs!

The basin stunned in silence as Grant stepping up to single handedly solve lost Hormuz volumes with the Gold Creek 03-30-069-04W6 pad. Average IP120 rates of 1,500bbl/d of C+C+NGL. I have a feeling that dog'll hunt.

If you are looking for signs of demand destruction, watch Asian refined products. Specifically, I'd expect to see Asian crack spreads peak before crude. Singapore gasoil cracks now above $70/bbl (all-time high). Ergo, crude prices need to go higher to balance via demand.

The Houthi's closing Bab al-Mandab would be bad, but it's... not really that bad compared to the Strait of Hormuz being closed. Here we are today; 300mmbbls are missing from YTD energy balances. If the Strait opens tomorrow by the end of the year we're still going to be missing
