For well over a year Taylor Swift’s team along with Ticketmaster have released thousands of tickets the day before the shows start in a city. Majority of these tickets end up in the hands of bot users that sell on secondary sites not named Ticketmaster. This has resulted in

Artists cancel shows this way because of poor ticket sales.

One example where no transfer tours do not function as intended.

Making resale illegal is the only way out of this. It would create a black market full of scam but overall a net positive for fans.

As soon as “resale” opens up, every broker will be auto-monitoring stock and be able to pick up the tickets faster than fans and immediately put them up for resale on StubHub etc. This is another example of FVE tours not working as intended.

Fans have all the power here. Don’t buy expensive tickets and they’ll be forced to lower prices later.

Every broker has tools so circumvent no transfer rules. Just go to any resale site and you can verify for yourself.

This is not “the price to see Metallica at the Sphere in Las Vegas”. This is the speculative price resellers are asking for with tickets they don’t own. No one has tickets yet. Nobody should be buying resale tickets now. Speculative listings should be illegal.
