Yesterday in parliament Winston Peters again objected to New Zealand being constantly referred to as Aotearoa when such a change had never been officially or publicly supported. Speaker Gerry Brownlee ruled Aotearoa acceptable as that is what “Maori” had chosen to call NZ.
