Inspiration for a book can occur anytime, anywhere, everywhere and in the most unlikely situations. #threeglindas

The inspiration for my first book happened while I was participating in one of my favorite travel occupations, eavesdropping.

I never knew my grandfather, but discovered his passion, intensity and legacy in the words he wrote. He has profoundly influenced me.

I find inspiration in observation-sunlight filtered through winter branches, a whispered conversation, improvised music on a city street.

Summer After Summer #threeglindas was inspired by my life in high school and anecdotes I've heard about high school reunions.

Inspiration comes to me when I'm engaged in an activity like writing, knitting or walking. #benefitsofrepetitivemotion

I gather fragments, images and lines of poetry that I pin to the wall above my desk, where they take root as the seeds of new stories.

A favorite line from Avatar: “I see you.” I want to see the world and describe it in language that resonates.

I am in awe of my grandmothers, who came to this country as young women filled only with hope and the conviction that they would thrive.
