Will always be one of my favourite pictures of Sir Bobby. Being picked off the floor by a United fan in the Bernabeu in 1968 after United beat Madrid in the semi final on route to us winning the European Cup, 10 years after he survived the Munich disaster + returned to lead us ❤️

Sir Bobby Charlton is possibly England’s greatest sportsperson. To overcome the adversity of Munich and have as garlanded a decade as he had (Ballon d’Or, two titles, FA Cup, World Cup and European Cup) was nothing short of remarkable. RIP.
