After Officer Stephen Carr was killed, a story began to circulate about a time he offered the socks on his feet to an individual battling homelessness. Sam’s Club began a sock drive, called ‘Socks for Stephen’ and has donated socks to us. We now have more than 500 pairs of socks

Hats off to the community of Fayetteville, Arkansas lastnight. Peaceful protest at its finest lastnight. What a great example of people coming together. Proud to call this place home. #BLM #TheGoldenRule FayettevilleARpolice

Heads-up dog owners! In areas that see the most sun Wed/Thur, pavement temps could be as high as 130°-145° (for perspective, pave temps were 100°-115° range today). This can be damaging, very painful for your dog's paws. Please walk your dogs in the AM or grass #arwx #okwx

As soon as I wake up in the morning, I remind myself that nothing exists as it appears. Then I think about sentient beings who want happiness, but experience suffering. I generate compassion for them, determined to help them as much as I can to eliminate their negative emotions.

It may have been too rainy to ride a bike, but it’s never too rainy to replace a kid’s stolen bike! 🚲 Thank you so much Pedal It Forward NWA for donating bikes for us to give in situations like this.

On Wednesday, September 30th @ 8:30am and 4pm Black Hills Energy will be conducting a controlled release of natural gas near the intersection of N Ruth and E Clark in the area of Rockwood Trail. While it will be very loud for 1-2 minutes, these pose no danger to the public
