I just met a guy at the bar, 24 years old, survived a suicide attempt. Put a cross bow to the back of his head. Lived. Was clearly handicapped, but an awesome dude. I didn’t cry until he left. I learned something tonight. God has a plan, and you can’t change it. He won. At life.

For clarity, I didn’t stop someone from suicide tonight. He survived an attempt. Showed me the scars. Was clearly TBI. I didn’t do shit but listen. That’s all.

When I was a kid, anytime I would get hit by a pitch or scraped my knee or things like that, my dad would always say “It will feel better when it quits hurting. It will quit hurting when the pain goes away.” It sounds so stupid but it’s actually very real. 😂
