I am delighted to see my article on the electoral risks of austerity published in print at EJPR journal. ejpr.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

New article in EJPR journal with Carsten Jensen. We use election surveys going back to the 1960s to show that inequality in policy congruence varies depending on the political mobilization of less affluent voters (through unions & turnout). doi.org/10.1111/1475-6… 🧵... 1/

New article on place-based identities and cleavage formation in the knowledge society, out in Electoral Studies. If you study spatial inequalities, rural resentment, and/or generally cleavage politics, this might be of interest! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Important piece by jon henley in the Guardian on the housing crisis and far right support. Also discusses our study on increasing local rents and voting for the AfD. Plus some expert comment by my fabulous colleague Vicente Valentim theguardian.com/news/article/2…

Only a few days left to submit your abstract for our #ecprjs25 workshop! If you study #labor 🛠️💼🩺, #workplaces, #firms🏭 + #politics🏛️, join Bruno Palier and I to discuss how changes in the world of work impact democratic politics. Below a teaser. ecpr.eu/Events/Event/W…

New article accepted at Comparative Political Studies. @denis-cohen.bsky.social Thomas Kurer and I analyze how rental market risk affects radical right support. Combining data on local rent increases with the SOEP, we find that individuals facing increasing local rents become more likely to support the AfD. 🧵
