I wonder if people in tropical areas with great weather and beaches ever get as excited by mountains and places like West Virginia as much as I do thinking about the beaches and places like Cancun or The Bahamas? Nah! That’s crazy talk, right?

Not enough people fight for their beliefs, especially in business. I recently had to go over a manager’s head because it was the right thing to do for my customers and although I got flack to begin with, we got the deal done with a little bit of profit and the client was happy.

When I think of the folks that have influenced me over the years, none could come close to my mother. She had beauty and grace and grit and worked extremely hard raising my brothers and I to be the best we could be. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Thanks mom!
