I'm not going to dignify this little poem that I put together with a title (it isn't very good!). But I've written it as a bit of a teaser; just a bit of fun. Can you find the hidden message which tells you who this poem is about?

Elm Hill, Norwich; Nofolk. Famed for being the only complete surviving Tudor street in England. I took the train today and, three and a half hours later, walked this famous little street. Here are a few photos from a very rainy day in Norwich.

I took this photo at Hampton Court. The painting, dated 1545, depicts the Field of the Cloth of Gold, which took place 500 years ago today. Contemporary accounts highlight its magnificence yet to an extent we have to use our imagination to visually interpret this historic event.

I add a bit of blurb to many of the images I upload - which can be frustrating as I love telling stories in a descriptive way; difficult in 140 characters! It's why I tend to be more active on my FB page. However few words are needed here. Hampton Court is just majestic.

A photo I took inside Hever Castle looking out towards the moat. Imagine the people that walked through here hundreds of years ago. Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Anne of Cleves, Thomas Boleyn, George Boleyn, Mary Boleyn... Sometimes, all that separates us from the past is time.

Ludlow Castle. The circular building was the chapel. When I stood in there I imagined the hours the devout Catherine of Aragon must have spent within those very walls before Arthur's death in 1502. She would need every ounce of her faith it in the turbulent years to follow.

A video I made during a visit to Bosworth Battlefield last summer; where it all began in 1485 for the Tudor Dynasty. This clip was taken by the spot that Richard III fell in battle, the last English monarch to do so. facebook.com/TheTudorPrince…

This portrait stands at Hampton Court Palace. When I came face to face with it, it made me think about when an enigma Edward VI was and is. Precocious and highly intelligent, the son that Henry so longed for died before he could ever truly make his mark on the realm of England.

I was in Chesterfield yesterday and visited The Royal Oak, which dates back to the 12th Century - one of England's oldest surviving inns. This place was serving drinks around 300 years before the Tudors. The conversations that have taken place on this spot over the centuries...

I was struggling to get my daughter to sleep this evening so wrote a short poem on her bedroom floor! This is set in March 1603 and in it Anne Boleyn calls to her daughter Elizabeth, as she faces her final hours.

At the start of the year I visited St. Mary the Virgin, Oxford. It was here Thomas Cranmer and the Oxford Martyrs were tried and condemned to death in 1555. One of the pillars is visibly damaged - a result of a temporary stage being erected for the trial over 450 years ago.

It was amazing to interview Lady Edward at Haddon Hall today for a feature in Derbyshire Life. It's currently closed to the public so to get a guided tour with nobody else around was incredible. 900 years of history within these walls. Arthur Tudor once stayed here.

Have neglected this account of late as it's difficult to really tell a story in so few characters. FB page still going strong and have just set up an Instagram account: Instagram.com/TheTudorPrince Please do feel free to follow as I build the page from scratch. Thanks! 😀 #Tudors

The 13 steps that lead to Anne Boleyn's bedroom at Hever Castle. How many times did she skip down these as a precocious child? Unaware she would go down as one of the most talked about figures in British history. #EnglishHistory #BritishHistory #Tudors instagram.com/p/CcKmOUNsQm3/…

Happy #WorldBookDay everyone! I took these photos at Hever Castle in 2019. These are two of the three Book of Hours that still exist that once belonged to Anne Boleyn. Here are my recollections of coming face to face with two incredible manuscripts: instagram.com/p/CpTHU3QI-BX/…

Let me be your tour guide as I take you through the centre of Buxton - England's highest market town. Featured in this video: The place where Mary Queen of Scots stayed whilst under house arrest - reputedly the oldest hotel in England!

A few photos I took at Hampton Court. By day these corridors are filled with people, the stone floors a carnival of noise as visitors reconnect with times long since lost to us; when the Tudors sat on the throne of England. instagram.com/p/Cpvo_fWIhrn/…

It's 420 years to the day since the Tudors vacated the throne of England. It was a dramatic, turbulent era which began with an unlikely victory at Bosworth and ended with the death of Elizabeth I on this day 118 years later. A period that changed the face of history forever.
