Everyone who is interested in Saito should understand this: PoW/PoS pays for mining/staking. Saito pays nodes for collecting fees. The more directly you collect transactions from users (versus collecting them second or third-hand from other nodes), the more you get paid πŸ‘‡β•

lukas.xrd The Saitozens πŸŸ₯ Justin Bons Cyber Capital Andrew Scott Riley we believe Saito delivers 1/4 per-byte fees of POW / POS ceteris paribus because: 1. no 51% attack = 2x security per dollar of throughput 2. no extra fees = routing nodes paid out of consensus routing sigs add size, but users can pay a low fee and avoid deep-propagation.

lukas.xrd The Saitozens πŸŸ₯ Justin Bons Cyber Capital Andrew Scott Riley keep an open mind and learn as best we can from what others are doing. do our best to get others to understand the economic problems that are leading them into technical trade-offs. be happy if we end up with even a single non-permissioned network operating at global scale.

β€œIn Saito you can put data in a transaction & send it to an address (like Bitcoin). Everyone can see the TX & it can be used as input for apps. This is powerful for dapps but not necessarily smart contracts. $Saito is interoperable through Polkadot. EVM can be added in L1”. πŸŸ₯

Haven't read a single tweet pointing out this nonsense was caused by people trying to extract profits from consensus mechanisms that didn't protect against fee extraction. There's a reason those approaches are unsustainable. The underlying problems are at the consensus level.

polynya If you care about fundamentals, what is stopping you from learning Saito? wiki.saito.io/en/consensus Real solutions don't come from the same perspectives/trade-offs that make problems insolvable.

πŸŸ₯ Two things $Saito does that your favorite blockchain does not: 1. Pay for the cost of storing data over timeβ€”it won’t collapse under its own weight in the future. 2. Be open at scale. Saito can be Web3s public permissionless network providing fee flow to who contributes.
