Paying more than a few pennies for a transaction is ridiculous let alone having to pay over $50.

Having people defend this narrative is the biggest form of tribalism that I've seen.

has On-Chain Governance, is completely decentralized, has fully scaled, has Optional

Unpopular but true: BTC and ETH are stuck relying on 3rd parties, killing user experience

Shared sequencers and aggregation layers won't cut it too

It's time for innovation to shine elsewhere!

Not a popular take but it's the truth. There are not enough transactions on BTC to provide long term security due to the small block size.

This is a real problem for BTC. Bitcoiners will continue to ignore it until one halvening where bitcoin price doesn't at least double. It might even be today's halvening that fails to get a 2x.

The BTC halvening is happening today!

The security budget is about to be split in half; this should be feared, not celebrated!

This will continue every four years until BTC completely collapses in on itself; BTC is unsustainable!

As it cannot pay for its own security long-term

L2's erode constitutional law and civil liberty, they have huge current flaws, they let people be intellectually lazy so they don't have to vigilently weed out any concept of an intermediary, which nation state actors alwayse use to prosecute until they get central control again.

Unlike 's L2's, ' L2's are secured and verified by the L1 validators, making the L2's completely decentralized and secure, while the L1 benefits from the incredible speed of the L2.
Additionally the fees paid on the L2 are through the L1's native asset, $XTZ

This is spot on 💯

There is not one single L2 that is as secure, scalable, or decentralized as some of the best L1’s

So why are we putting so much focus on modular architecture when it isn’t even better?

Monolithic chains with sharding are the answer

Why would anyone choose an L2 ecosystem over an L1 ecosystem?

Worse UX, fragmentation, trust trade-offs, bridges, higher total fees & lack of composability

ETH is coasting off its past success; usage only moved to L2s because ETH failed to meet demand

Better L1 options exist!

L2’s are an admission that
a) poor engineering decisions were made early on which
b) cannot be corrected once people profit from them.

You cannot scale a blockchain through L2s

As it routes traffic away from the chain instead of actually scaling it

In reality, L2s are parasitically in competition with the L1 over fees!

This is why restricting L1 capacity in favor of L2s is a perversion; born from corruption!
