Hitler was a monster. Nazis are genocidal. The Holocaust will never be forgotten. Nothing about any of this is funny or entertaining. Antisemitism is vile. And the spread of hate online has repercussions offline. Political leaders must take strong action to confront it.

Important perspective. We have normalized burnout culture in most workplaces. I am complicit in this unhealthy work culture and I need to do better.

When they are young, children love to smile and readily respond to compassion. We must find ways to keep these qualities alive so they maintain a compassionate attitude and learn how to tackle anger as they grow up. Time at school should include methods to achieve peace of mind

Let’s be okay with teachers playing games with their students, having class parties, and putting on a movie the last couple days before a major break. We should trust teachers’ discretion, and kids deserve to have fun.

The very idea of taking a system that provides care to all, regardless of ability to pay, and tearing it down to replace it with a system that effectively decides who will live and who will die based on their financial assets, is morally repugnant. Does no one else see that?

A 4-day school week for students is perfect for ALL involved. TEACHERS can use the 5th day to catch up with their insane workload! STUDENTS can catch up & participate in ANY off-campus, extra curriculars they’re interested in without the wildness of a minute-to-minute schedule.

This school year, every student received $1,357 less funding than they would have if the government had kept up with inflation. This is equal to a $35,000 cut per classroom, and a $2.7 billion cut in per-student funding across Ontario. Public education is drowning.
