A way to get T levels some traction would be to bring back modular exams and allow hybrid qualications - much like university degrees (eg Maths & Philosophy, Engineering & Chemistry, English & Media, Geography & Management) 1/n

I think “Russell Group” is a poor proxy, and I don’t think it’s the only thing that matters, but the quality of a degree is important - deep, broad, accurate, confident, enthusiastic subject knowledge makes a huge difference to a teacher and is surprisingly rare.

People are always asking "Is there a scientific calculator for visually impaired students?" Yes, there is, and I have just done a review At around £600, it's not cheap, but it does everything needed for GCSE Full details and manual at: dropbox.com/scl/fo/1w5olxj…

Good to see a current version of this ever-popular table (thanks Matt Man). You can assume, though, that many of the 9/A* students also took Further Maths

Army and RAF cadets enjoyed an incredible day at The Tank Museum — exploring armoured history, seeing iconic vehicles up close, and learning about the evolution of warfare. 💥 A great mix of education, teamwork & inspiration! 👏 #TorquayAcademyCCF #CadetLife #TankMuseum

An interesting thread here on a topic which many probably have very passionate views. Examining the numbers though is always interesting.

The future of education is clear. Teacher gets AI to design and deliver the curriculum .. videos and assignments. Students get AI to process the videos and complete the assignments. Teacher gets AI to assess and give feedback on the assignments. Feet up + jelly heads all round.

The most respected school leaders I know working in these communities aren't asking Ofsted to lower the bar. They're asking for a system that measures what they can actually influence and recognises the extraordinary work being done against the odds. tes.com/magazine/news/…

Uniform is just that, uniform. Schools already have expectations around the below - it's your PE kit. Most of industry don't wear suits and ties to work. Certainly not clip-on ties.
