I keep trying to write something about this movie but the words never align to describe just how blown away I was by it. Just absolutely incredible.

In a theater for mission impossible right now. Trailer for an exorcism movie starring Al Pacino came on. Teenagers behind me said “Al Pa-see-no? I don’t know who that is.”

I though The Final Reckoning was a flawed but satisfying enough conclusion to Ethan Hunt and Mission: Impossible (if it actually is the final film, which I doubt). Here is my full review: youtube.com/watch?v=wauXe3…

As someone who likes Wes Anderson but has felt lukewarm to his films post Grand Budapest Hotel, I really enjoyed The Phoenician Scheme. Full review here: youtube.com/watch?v=qj1vTR…

Back for good after a couple months. And what better way to come back than with the best movie of 2025. Watch my full review for One Battle After Another here: youtu.be/Dw9b-lf8cAM?si…

Dwayne Johnson’s performance in The Smashing Machine is certainly the best I’ve seen from him. Unfortunately, the script keeps its characters at an arms length away, preventing a deeper connection to Mark Kerr’s story. Full review here: youtu.be/wwfO5BnhjC0?si…

Watched One Battle After Another for a fifth time in imax. How it keeps getting better each time I do not know. If it takes Best Picture (which I’d be shocked if it didn’t) then it’ll be the best winner since Parasite in my opinion.

Going to be thinking through my feelings on this one long and hard on the drive home. For now I’ll say I did like the film as a whole, but I don’t know what to think about that ending right now.

A House of Dynamite has been a film that gets better and better for me the longer I sit and think about it. Bigelow has once again crafted one of the most tense and terrifying thrillers in years. See my full review here: youtu.be/6FScSMj2hEo?si…

Just got out of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. Full review coming in a couple days, but I just felt the need to get on here and mention how moved I was by Jacob Elordi’s performance. Really impressive work, I felt so much just through looking into his eyes.

Guillermo del Toro’s passion project is well-made on a technical level, but it is through the love and passion he has for this story and its characters where his adaptation of Frankenstein really delivers. Full Review: youtu.be/2Ol4kMr670E?si…

I had a good time with Bugonia. It’s not one of Lanthimos’s best films, but the performances from the three main actors kept me engaged even if I felt like there was something lacking with the story. Full review here: youtu.be/ByqI_In48oc?si…
