During our session at #hapc24, someone asked about a listing of legal decisions against physicians for reducing opioid dosage too rapidly. We know of no list. But… An attorney friend has confirmed the existence of several confidential settlements in cases similar to Slone.

When you get given liquid morphine by an NHS nurse, they squirt it directly into your mouth with a syringe. All the other oral (non-opioid) meds you get (mainly liquids or tablets) are passed to you in a small plastic cup, for you to administer to yourself. Acceptable or not?

There's a certain drug writer whose work keeps getting picked up on newsletters. He liberally uses AI pictures to illustrate them (nothing wrong) but his text always sounded very robotic... So I started digging a bit, and looking into the use of AI into drug writing 🧵
