Only the Daily Mail could make a meet and greet with a pop singer sound worse than multiple lads' weekends with the KGB in Perugia

Somehow missed this. It’s not just Manhattan: Queens, with 47.5% foreign born, is the 4th-safest large county in America bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Why isn't the BBC majoring on Trump's admiration for Hitler.rather than a flammed up story about Labour activists campaigning for Harris?

NEW IMF top official Gita Gopinath tells BBC when asked about UK fiscal rule change allowing more investment, that “public investment is needed in the UK. If you compare the UK to G7 countries, investment has fallen short” Also stresses “stabilising debt” over 5 years

Here's the Washington Post's front page on January 7, 2021. Four years later, the paper, famous for its tagline "Democracy Dies in Darkness," doesn't want to take a stand on who is fit to be president.

I am no market expert but is there a modicum of catastrophising among those suggesting the markets are repeating today (purple) what happened after the Truss budget (red)? These two things do not look the same to an untrained eye.

Capital Economics helpfully puts the post #Budget UK government debt market moves in context. There's been a rise in 10 year Gilt yields - a sign of market repricing in response to the extra borrowing - but nothing really comparable to what happened after the Sep 2022 Truss

When Jamie carrragher says his thing about Arteta being more like Mourinho than Pep because of strong tall players, big man up top, defensive control I wonder if he’s been paying much attention to Man City the last few years. This is how they won the treble

It is in fact exactly because Arsenal were overpowered vs City in 22/23 playing 442 with Haaland & KDB front 2, Rodri & four 6ft defenders that Arteta amended his style/ added another club to his bag for big games. Havertz, Rice, Timber, Calafiori & Merino signed since then.

“If Arsenal want to win the league they need to go to Anfield and win” Since 2000; - times the team who win the league have won at the second place finisher: 5/25 - times the team who win the league have won away at last year’s winners: 2/16 Neville is lying to you for clicks.
