We were so close. We proved that remote work had productivity benefits. Then the AI bosses got Microsoft Teams API access and interpreted efficiency as lack of productivity. Now we're locked in front of our computers generating garbage data for longer hours getting nothing done.

If Microsoft seriously cares about Teams data being misused to harm workers (and productivity), it can immediately stop the harm with a change to its Privacy Policy. Purpose limitation is a powerful tool that it can wield whenever it chooses to be serious about preventing harm.
