#Ginvent Day 22 - tonight’s gin from Snifter promises to be sweet and nutty. I’ll be the judge of that!

#Ginvent Persie Sweet and Nutty, nose: that's REALLY nutty. Walnuts, cashews, almonds and hazelnuts. But sweetness? Not yet.

#Ginvent Persie Sweet and Nutty, palate: aaaaaand there's the sweetness. Tastes much better than it smells. Juniper. Some light lemon. A more almonds on the palate.

#Ginvent Persie Sweet and Nutty, verdict: I can't deny that they got the name spot on. And I liked the palate. But that fusty, nutty nose you get every time you go in for a sip is putting me off.

#Ginvent Day 23 - hopefully tonight's bathtub gin from Ableforth's will be good enough that I'll want to steep myself in it afterwards 😂

#Ginvent Ableforth Bathtub Gin, nose: its very fruity. But a slightly artificial chewy that you might find in tuck shop sweets. Quite sweet with a slight citrus zing.

#Ginvent Ableforth Bathtub Gin, palate: oh, that's nice. A spicy sweetness, but it's not overwhelming. A good juniper profile. A touch of orange. And a wee touch of pepper on the finish.

#Ginvent Ableforth Bathtub Gin, verdict: not overly fussy but a solid gin. Good job guys!

#Ginvent Day 24 - I promised an exotic location last night and here it is. Tonight’s final tasting is The Spirit Of One, live from Santiago 🇨🇱

#Ginvent One Gin, nose: nice and boozy! Very herbal. Bizzarley, loads of sage. Menthol. Cassia bark. And a twist of lemon.

#Ginvent One Gin, taste: the palate starts quiet but then finishes with a punch. That sage is still there. And the menthol too. But the citrus is closer to orange. And a good dose of pink peppercorn to finish.

#Ginvent One Gin, verdict - not an absolute stunner but a strong contender, and a fab way to round off our Ginvent journey 👍
