This week our EMS team hosted the “ALS for the Basic Provider” course. The course is designed to establish a bridge between the EMT & paramedic by introducing ALS skills & concepts to EMTs. The goal is to prepare EMTs if called upon to assist a paramedic when ALS care is needed.

I am so proud of this young man. Less than a year ago he graduated from paramedic school & today I received a phone call from a citizen letting me know that his calm demeanor in persuading her husband to go to the hospital saved his life. Our people, the heart & soul of BCFR.

On Weds, the FL Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight conducted an inspection of BCFR's EMS system. I want to share that zero deficiencies were found. This is a testament of the unwavering commitment, by our personnel & staff, to deliver quality care to our residents & guests.
