sami sage Armand Domalewski u say they'll "never understand why they lose" and yet Democrats continue to lose, I'd argue in large part bc Dems are largely completely politically unengaged when they think their blue team is in power, while the right stays engaged and motivated. How do u account for that?

Wrong. Zohran knows there's nothing he can say to stop bad faith claims he's an anti-semite. But he could lose the support of his base by adopting the spineless, genocidal stance of the Democratic Party. How did throwing the base under the bus work for Harris in 2024?

This is time sensitive!! Struggling to breathe due to bad weather & dust. Urgently asking for support w/ $550 for a room, food, & hygiene essentials to make it through the week. Choosing between eating or breathing is not okay man Losing an unhealthy amount of weight not eating

AshleyStevens "Safe means the other person is scared." This is a very interesting mentality that I have seen a lot when examining what people say about issues like "terrorism" or "crime." Alex Karp personally feels safer when people are killed by the cops or by bombings. Think about that.

I'm honestly not sure why this is funny. This is how people are treated now when they talk about basic hygiene and disease control. Little has changed.

Bibi Netanyahu wants you to believe that the government of *Iran* is the world's most dangerous regime and not the government of Israel. How can we talk Bibi or anyone who gives him credence seriously?

I have to disagree with this comment, because Josh is falling into the ruling class trap of assuming everyone else agrees with him. If Zohran's position were really irrelevant, then Cuomo-friendly media wouldn't have demanded to know what country he would visit first as mayor.

So you don't think genocide is bad and Israel should stop committing it? Bold. Controversial. Worse than ANYTHING Zohran Mamdani has said. And you're saying it, why, exactly?

The "far left" lost in the 2016 primary because the Democratic Party wanted to run on Obama's Legacy instead of addressing human needs. But Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election all by herself, with the "far left" trying to carry her to a win. When will Democrats understand?

My assumption is: "A profit can only happen if a service is sold for more than it costs to actually perform the service." How is that incorrect and where does the profit actually come from, then?

The reason so much land is still public in the American West is because of something called "the Homestead Act." Large cattle ranches with a single owner for thousands of acres were actually illegal under the Homestead Act. So ranchers didn't own their grazing land. Ever.

Instead of owning their grazing lands, cattle ranchers enforced "the open range" by employing hired guns to cut down fences and kill homesteaders under the guise of policing the range against "cattle rustlers." You may have seen one of the movies about this. #Deadpan

After the Johnson County War in the Wyoming territory, cattle ranchers realized they couldn't just keep homesteaders out by force. The federal government had to save their asses. So the federal government took over the land to protect the wealthy from the poor.

This is an important thread. I want to add that a narrow focus on "sex trafficking" leads to a belief that human trafficking is all about what puritans used to call "white slavery", and the victims of human traffickers in other industries are labeled "illegal."
