work was kind of cool today, we packed up an amazing photography collection, a lot of ansel adams and misrach and other famous photographers most of the art we move & install is forgettable but every once in a while i hang pieces by some artist i go to museums to see 💛

some meals this week, nothing crazy but apparently it’s all bread lately?!? • walnut, pear + blue cheese salad w whole grain toast • work lunch at a park.. beans, toast, soft boiled egg, tomatoes • corn soup & baguette • crock pot bean soup & garlic bread

i had saved crab & shrimp shells, fish parts, etc in the freezer and i made a seafood stock and used it for paella. ckn stock is good too but THIS is the way

i’m such a freak w my lists and plans, that when i start to near the end of one, it’s very exciting, like oooooh who knows what i’ll decide to cook / read / make after it ends. looking forward to the pleasure of coming up w a new one & the possibilities that really is so silly

i made indian food and it matched my house 😂

i don’t know how i never played the monument valley games until now, they are absurdly pretty and dreamy good way to spend half a lazy saturday

we never work mondays because a five day week is too batshit when you commute for a total of four hours each day, but holy fuck, sometimes those “long weekends” really take it out of me if i’ve been behaving badly (drinking)

you guys an unknown person made a bunch of flower arrangements in vases & staged them in a row along the road. not by a house! not with a sign or an honor system tip jar or anything! clearly free for the taking. probably leftovers from a florist?? a valentine 💛

sunday fighting w bf because i wouldn’t eat. what’s inspired this!? he usually leaves me the f alone about it, & also knows the number one way to ruin any appetite i could have had today is to upset me.

it’s time to make my next giant meal plan. i might focus on soup&bread pairings because it’s winter, or i might drive down to japantown & get a bunch of ingredients for a japanese cooking quest (i did this a few years ago & learned sooo much). PLEASE HELP ME PICK

thunder and lightning in northern california!!!! this is so rare. i’m so happy. and watch the state will now find a way to catch fire off a lightning strike despite being completely drowned and soaked and drenched

i’m actually legit frightened of dying tonight by redwood tree and when it’s light i’ll provide pics of why. astonishing that we still have power but based on the sounds i’m 50/50 that i’ll find a hole in the roof tomorrow

i made baked feta on lentil tomato stew w garlic bread & it was soooo nice, i never tried baking feta before. it doesn’t melt it gets like chewy w a slightly crisp top

ramen, clearing out the freezer (had broth, chashu, bok choy, tofu, fishcake, shrimps)

do you guys like to look at other people’s meal plans and stuff like that (i do)

god february is almost over. i have got to lock in. i do not want to start river season looking like this
