It is a little-known fact that James Joyce was a rugby fan. On 14 April 1923, Joyce went to see Ireland play France in a Five Nations Championship game at the Colombes Stadium. He learned the names of the Irish team, as well as the clubs they played for.

Due to the heat, just the winner will be brought back into the winners’ enclosure. All other horses will unsaddle in the unsaddling area, located to maximise shade & supported by misting fans. All our usual precautions are in place including extra water & ice around the course.
