Sept. 2023 was the hottest September in NASA’s temperature record, GISTEMP, following monthly records in June, July, and August. September was also the largest temperature anomaly on record and continued a long-term warming trend due to human activities. go.nasa.gov/3M1HrJz

NATURE IS DWINDLING: A diverse set of mammals once roamed the planet. This changed dramatically with the arrival of humans. Since then, wild land mammal biomass has declined by ~ 85%. Humans & their livestock are now dominant.

Fairly certain now that, as a result of Earth's growing energy imbalance, we will have breached the planetary boundary of 1.5°C by the end of 2024. What a collective failure of the human enterprise that it can't even maintain its own home planet!

It’s not an exaggeration to suggest that the fate of nations and a sizable portion of humanity depends on whether William Nordhaus’s projections are correct. And a growing number of his colleagues are repudiating his work. interc.pt/3MtJ6ba

That’s not a case for reactionary revanchism, Guyana is an independent country and should not be punished for the acts of its former colonial master, just as Venezuela shouldn’t be punished for Spanish crimes. In no universe am I going to support Venezuela trying to walk off with

Im not hating on successful people But no one in Guyana 🇬🇾 is successful through “hard work” No one is all drugs, money laundering, and more corruption. From the President/vice president to the police they're all corrupted.
