I had a hacking hour and threw together RustPython and near-sys to try get Python contracts development to NEAR: github.com/frol/near-cont… It compiles to Wasm, but there are still some challenges to get it running, any volunteers to take it from here?

one of the most critical bugs of NEAR is getting fixed ✅✅

I’ve executed about 4k transfer receipts on NEAR Protocol testnet on a single shard in one block. So about 100k transfers under one minute. Next - cross-shard. With 5 shards, I should be able to achieve almost 20k transfers in one block. Let’s see if testnet can handle it.
