Only the NBA on NBC can set the stage for a random October game and tell the history of a Knicks/Bucks rivalry (?) in 90 seconds...with presentation, archival footage, and context that you provides you with a whole new reason to watch. Costas, Wilt, Peacock laser. God bless.

.New York Jets Ohio State Football Nick Mangold We lost a great Brother this week in the Brotherhood that is the NFL. He left us all too soon; and I am sad....but like everyone that came in contact with NICK; we all felt better after spending time with the Man in the Middle....We all miss you

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doubled off Yoshinobu Yamamoto to lead off the bottom of the 11th, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa sacrificed him to third. Addison Barger is up, Alejandro Kirk on deck. The Blue Jays trail by one. The championship is on the line. It does not get any better.

More than 400 mourners turned out for Nick Mangold’s funeral in NJ. Among those in attendance: Rex Ryan, Darrelle Revis, Chad Pennington, Ryan Fitzpatrick, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Damien Woody, Bart Scott, Jay Feely, Calvin Pace, Nick Folk and many more. A beautiful eulogy by Alan

Quinnen Williams is a great guy and teammate. Excellent player. Will be missed. Shame of it is that he never played a game of any real significance with the Jets. He leaves town - head held high as a top player on some awful teams - with a career 31-67 record. 0 playoff games.

NYJ did well to get value for Sauce & Q. But needing to trade them at all is the issue. Three years ago they had similar draft capital (three 1s & a 2) and hit on all four. Still couldn’t build a contender. The hope is this regime can capitalize, but hope is getting exhausting.

So my take on the #Jets trades: No question, they got tremendous value for both players. Checked in with folks around the league; they were stunned that the Jets got two 1s for Gardner. Described as a very good player, but not a game changer (lack of INTs). Williams: Premier run
