A message from Dan Costello himself (of Costello Dismantling Co., Inc.), when I asked him on how much longer he can hold off on sending his workers and heavy-load trucks to the Cabot yard (where the MBTA Red Line trains are stored).

I finally got a response back from Dynamic Rail Preservation (AKA DynaRail). Unfortunately, they can’t acquire a pair of the old MBTA Red Line subway trains for preservation reasons. But I wonder who will: Hopefully someone that’s willing. 🤔

Update: Unfortunately, in the end, the Trolley Museum of NY won’t be acquiring a pair of an old MBTA Red Line train that’s already retired. Regardless, I’m still trying my best to send the word out, probably to somewhere else in the USA. 🇺🇸 But, I’m only just a messenger.

I reached out to the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma, and I suggested to them to acquire a pair of an old MBTA Red Line subway train for preservation reasons. Unfortunately, they kindly said “No”. P.S. I blacked out a phone number, by using an editing tool of some sort.

One of the first things you notice when you ride one of the new electric buses is that it's quiet. "This is just the future. This is for the ability for us to give our operators state-of-the-art technology," said MBTA General Manager Phillip Eng. on.nbcboston.com/I0cgNry

I got a response back from the Rosenberg Railroad Museum (Texas). They informed me that they’re not in a position to acquire MBTA Red Line subway train cars for preservation. Is there any U.S. railway/trolley museum that’s willing to save at least one pair for preservation? 🤔

A message from the president of Costello Dismantling Co., Inc., when I kindly asked him that if he wants to help me out, he can start off by not decommissioning every single pair of an old MBTA Red Line train that’s been permanently retired from service.

Unfortunately, the Electric City Trolley Museum of Pennsylvania, they said that they have no space available, not even for preservation of the old MBTA Red Line subway trains. The question remains: So who will acquire at least one pair of an old MBTA Red Line subway train? 🤔

I asked the president of Costello Dismantling Co., Inc. if he will consider selling a decommissioned MBTA Red Line 01400 series trains car (built by Pullman-Standard), to On the Dot. Unfortunately, not so good news here: This is his response to me.

I asked Kevin Layne if I could see the episodes of Pepsi Música, the ones that he and Brian Forti were involved with. This was the response I got. I’m still hoping that the people of @univision and UniMás, they have that show stored somewhere deep within their archives. #Pepsi

I asked the Chief Operating Officer of the MBTA for the status of trying to find a new home for old Boston Red Line subway trains that are currently in the process of being retired. This is his response to me. I really do hope that at least a few pairs will be saved. 🙏 🛤️

I received a response back from the Empire State Railway Museum (Phoenicia, New York). Unfortunately, they will not be acquiring a pair of an old MBTA Red Line subway train for preservation. They also said to try the Trolley Museum of NY. Oh wait, recently, they also said “No”.

It seems that the MBTA D40LF bus no. 0858 might’ve been reassigned back to the Lynn garage: I just saw it operating on Route 116 (Maverick to Wonderland). I think the person who manages the MBTA Vehicle Inventory website would be very interested to see this picture.
