Yesterday, I had the distinct honor of visiting the campus of The Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. My soul is thrilled by the mighty work of God that is being wrought in the hearts of hundreds of young people through this school.

#SecondBaptistFestus had a middle-aged couple visiting for the first time yesterday. They said that they feel like spectators in the church that they currently attend, and they long for a place where they can be involved.

#SecondBaptistFestus experienced both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows this week. A young married couple and a family of three joined on Sunday morning. A man who joined the church in March died unexpectedly on Monday. His funeral is tomorrow. God remains faithful.

The new nursery facilities at #SecondBaptistFestus opened last Sunday. For the first time in over sixty years, the nursery is centrally located and easily accessible to both congregants and visitors.

#SecondBaptistFestus was blessed to have a first-time visitor and a family from the Academy visiting our church in our midweek service last night.

#SecondBaptistFestus was blessed with two first-time visitors last night in our midweek service. We also began our "Missions Emphasis" month with a missionary to France reporting to the congregation.

#SecondBaptistFestus was blessed with two first-time visitors and numerous returning visitors yesterday. Multiple people are on the cusp of being baptized and joining the church. We are also looking forward to our 2026 intern ministering with us this coming weekend.

The LORD caused His face to shine upon us with an extraordinary day at #SecondBaptistFestus yesterday! Our 2026 intern ministered to us musically in the morning service, six first-time adult visitors were in attendance, and three young men were baptized!!!

The Sunday before Thanksgiving is typically low at #SecondBaptistFestus; nevertheless, we were blessed with a strong attendance and numerous returning visitors today. A family who lives three streets away from the church also visited for the very first time!!! Praise the LORD!

We are thankful to have had returning visitors and a first-time visiting couple from a nearby town yesterday. Looking forward to participating in three Christmas parades throughout our county this week. #SecondBaptistFestus

We were delighted to have first-time visitors in both the morning and evening services yesterday, and to have a family of three join at the conclusion of the morning service. Thankful for God's blessings upon us and our ministry for Him. #SecondBaptistFestus

#SecondBaptistFestus was blessed with three first-time visitors on the last Sunday of the year. Our 2026 intern arrived safely in Missouri yesterday and joined the church in our afternoon service.

The single greatest extra-doctrinal issue that any Bible-believing Christian can advocate for, in my humble opinion, is #natalism. Four children should be the minimum for which two-parent households should strive. We should be doubling the replacement rate, at least.

Our staff intern and I have been digitizing the cassette tapes of sermons preached at #SecondBaptistFestus. Revival services since 1972. Regular services from 1989 until 2008. Do not be discouraged during hard days of ministry. Your predecessors served so that you one day could.

If an #IFB Bible college purporting to train young men and women for vocational ministry sees the majority of its graduates return home to work menial jobs in the service industry year after year after year, there may be a problem that needs to be corrected.

We hosted our fifth annual Community Egg Hunt this afternoon at #SecondBaptistFestus. Though we never take an exact number due to the rotating events, we can safely say that we had between 450-550 attend from the community. Many contacts were made with unchurched families.

#SecondBaptistFestus had two first-time visiting families in our morning service yesterday, one of whom came as a result of an invitation left on their door. This makes three new families in the past two weeks. After an horrible winter, we are so thankful for new contacts.

God blessed this Resurrection Sunday at #SecondBaptistFestus. Three first-time visiting families, two returning visiting families, several new individual visitors, and one lady joined the membership. "He is risen!" "He is risen, indeed!"

We were privileged to observe the baptism of a young engaged couple at #SecondBaptistFestus after the conclusion of our Morning Worship service. The man's entire family attended for the first time in support of them.
