Last weekend Mayor Karen Bass started temporarily closing streets as a part of the "Slow Streets" program that we passed a resolution about. Here are the streets that we recommended. The red are partial closures & the purple are full closures to non-local traffic ♥

Hollywood Studio District NC gave a us a grant to provide summer reading materials to Hollywood students, and we made sure Grant & Le Conte students received books in time for summer! #wearethechange

UPDATE: East Hollywood NC, Mid City West NC, and Hollywood Studio District NC have all sent letters to LA City Council Budget & Finance Comm calling for a #CareNotCops budget for LA. That's 13 NCs. The Council's budget vote is tmrw, but the advocacy of NCs from across the city on this is just beginning.

Learned last night at my neighborhood council Hollywood Studio District NC meeting that the Target on Sunset and Western is finally opening next month and keeping its word to hire teens who live at Covenant House CA!
