I am 47 years old and I had a commencement for preschool, 5th grade (leaving elementary), and 8th grade (leaving middle school). Not sure what the big deal being made is.

We are in the process of building something great. We would love to have as many as possible participate and help build it together.

I've been saying this for years. Tournaments suck! But parents are stuck in this "chasing a worthless trophy" loop. I have a plan I'm currently working on to try and break the wheel. I wonder if I will have tourney directors targeting me once I set it up 🤔

Having a son who played at the elite level and is now playing in college, and one playing now at the elite level, I can firmly say soccer does NOT play multiple games in a day. You may get 2, but even that is few and far between anymore.

And speaking of bunting...

At this point in my career I'm not sure if these speeches sound so eerily similar to one's I give because I believe the same things with all my heart, or because I've heard the same from other great coaches wanting the same for me or teams I've been on. Chicken/egg, who knows 🤷🏾‍♂️

This is actually a smarter question than most people want to give it credit for. The base is inside/on the foul line. Runners lane is outside of the foul line. This means that on every play at first, a runner must run in foul territory, then make a quick step fair to hit the bag.

What's the chances of getting rid of all tournament baseball for ages 14u and below? Exceptions are for tournaments attached to leagues. Real question.

So many choices. In the words of Black Sheep and my jam from the 90s, the choice is yours.

I did this multiple times this past Spring/Summer with my team. As already said, gotta get it far down 3rd and force the 3rd baseman to have to play it. Next, add in teaching the runner on 1st to be looking to get to 3rd on the bunt from the start. Result: 1/3, same outs AGAIN
