Saying that Tamil is 5300 years old because Thokaapiyam is dated at 3300 BC is inaccurate. Imagine how long a language has to be spoken before a grammar book like Tolkappiyam has to be produced.

The Indus Valley Civilization's (IVC) material culture, including conch shells sourced from Tamil Nadu’s southeast coast and bull-related practices (similar to Tamil traditions like jallikattu), suggests cultural ties to Tamil regions.
