CBIC Ministry of Finance DGTPS with the active participation of all the Zonal Units, organised All India Webinar on “Personal Imports & New Baggage Rules, 2026” on 13 March 2026. The webinar was conducted in two sessions.

CBIC Ministry of Finance Second session was held for stakeholders, including airlines, Customs House Agents, courier operators, logistics service providers, & members of the trade. Session highlighted important provisions relating to personal imports & the revised baggage rules.

DGTS organised an Online All-India Outreach Programme on Personal Imports & New Baggage Rules, 2026. A special FAQ session for departmental officers was held to clarify operational aspects of the new rules and facilitate uniform implementation across field formations.

DGTS organised an All-India Online Outreach Programme on Personal Imports & New Baggage Rules, 2026 open to travellers and the public. Experts explained key provisions of the new rules and addressed queries to promote awareness and compliance.

During the outreach programme, participants were sensitised about RBI guidelines on import and export of currency by passengers. The session highlighted declaration requirements and compliance to ensure hassle-free travel.

DGTS also highlighted the ATITHI App, which enables passengers to digitally declare dutiable goods before arrival in India, ensuring faster and smoother customs clearance at airports.
