As Leo bills himself as “bridge-builder” in initial loggia speech upon election, it should be noted that Pope and Patriarch Bartholomew met privately again today—the second sit-down in 11 days.

Pope Leo to new priests: “We are not masters, but custodians. The mission is Jesus'. He is Risen, therefore he is alive and precedes us. None of us is called to replace him. The day of the Ascension teaches us about his invisible presence.”

U.S. Christianity desperately needs a radical conversion toward the poor. We have lost our soul when the deaths of thousands fail to move us. Our supposed "Christian Nation" has failed to live the gospel imperative to love one another, for which we will have to answer to God.

Jesus would be considered effeminate by today's standards. "Blessed are the meek" "I am gentle and humble in heart" "Jesus wept" "I came not to be served but to serve" "Put your sword back in its place" "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them"

I'd like to thank Kelly and reiterate his blessings here. To all my LGBTQ+ siblings, I love you, God loves you, and I'm praying that this month is one of great joy, peace, and hope. In the words of St. Francis "what a person is before God, that person is, and nothing more."

As Catholics we should reject such rhetoric which is childish and trolling. As Pope Leo XIV says, "Relations between the Catholic Church and Muslims have been marked by a growing commitment to dialogue and fraternity." We should support and practice nothing less.

In the Sistine Chapel, Pope Leo XIV paid tribute to Blessed Cardinal Iuliu Hossu, recalling his defense of Jews during WWII and steadfast faith under communism, marking five years since Pope Francis’ historic visit to Romania and the beatification of seven Greek-Catholic martyrs.

One aspect of the Islamic tradition that we Muslims should be proud of is its colorblindness — its lack of doctrinal racism. It was rooted in the Qur'an, which honored "the diversity of your languages & colors" as one of God's signs. (30:22) Here is an example of how it worked:
