John Kirkland | The Fathering Project You are many things John - but you're not a statistic. Thank you for sharing your journey and I'm so sorry that education has lost someone like you... we need all the good teachers we can get. Take care, and thank you!

My familyā€™s dinning room table is a place for us to gather each evening and share about our day. Tonight Iā€™m using it to gather resources to share with school leaders at The Connectionā€™s Thought Leader Gathering on Growing powerful partnerships for engagement and purpose.

An interesting education spend, would be pay teachers who have left in the last 5 years a couple of hundred dollars to do a survey/ focus group on reasons for leaving. If we want to change things to retain teachers, we should ask them why, and look to address these things.

The Fathering Project is apolitical. Iā€™m retweeting this simply to highlight that the love and support of a father should go on beyond the years of childhood. Jihad Dib MP has benefited from a stable and supportive father in his life. We want all children to have great fathers.

As we approach #ANZAC Day, Iā€™m curious to learn about any father/son stories from the battlefield involving Australian Armed Servicemen in World War I particularly at Anzac Cove on the 25th April 1915. Links or notes welcome in the comments below. šŸ‘‡
