Awesome work! I think that whole body manipulation (not just using your arms) is a super interesting problem that opens up a world of applications. Also love the teleop setup combined with custom head for collecting data! Thinking I might need to do some robot surgery soon...

Any fellow robot nerds who have worked with Unitree humanoids (G1 Edu or H1-2), or the Go2 dog? Would love to hear experiences using them as experimental platforms, and get any tips, tricks or just fun ideas to try!

We were really excited to hear a new H series robot was coming out too, but this thing is way too uncanny valley for me. Going to scare the pets and the co-ops out of the lab

This is a VERY nice looking setup. Whole body control through VR with minimalist Mocap requirements. Among other things, I've also been wanting to add a pan-tilt camera to our bots for VR teleop. Def going to check this out!

Shout out again to Yanjie Ze for sharing the TWIST2 design. Just finished assembling our first pan-tilt rig, excited to try it out on our bots!

It took me a while to come to grips with Unitree's game being a bit like PC vs. Mainframe in past. You might not win on the tech merits of the HW at first, but something to be said about quickly getting low cost HW into as many hands as possible.

If you ask AI to rewrite the entirety of an open-source program, do you still need to abide by the original license? In philosophy, this problem is known as the Slop of Theseus
