Today is #PTSD Awareness Day. MentalHealthFirstAid defines trauma as a shocking and dangerous event that someone sees or has experienced. There are various kinds of trauma, and one event can have a lifelong impact on a person’s ability to cope and their overall wellbeing.

July is #DisabilityPride month! The MentalHealthFirstAid curriculum reminds us that not all disabilities are visible. Mental health disorders can be disabling, but with the right professional help and other supports anyone can thrive & be their best self.
Today is #PanicAwareness Day. According to MentalHealthFirstAid more than 1 in 5 people will experience a panic attack in their lifetime. Get trained in MHFA to learn about signs and symptoms of panic attacks, how to assist and getting the person connected with professional help.
Staff in our reimbursement department worked together to donate 12 backpacks filled with personal hygiene items to the Texana Crisis Center. These items will help those homeless or going into a rehab facility. If you would like to donate items, please email [email protected]
