Violent thug who viciously assaulted cops is guilty. Will we see apologies from bandwagon-jumping MPs like Paul Waugh MP Lucy Powell MP, 'experts' who immediately threw police under bus, & media who ran clip endlessly with no context? They aren't fit to polish our cops' boots!

109 years ago tonight, 6th Buffs were preparing for attack on #Somme. They suffered over 100 casualties. One of them was my Great Uncle Henry, who was badly wounded. Henry died the next day and is in Commonwealth War Graves Bouzincourt Communal Cemetery Extension. He is my inspiration. #WW1

My Dad arrived in Japan in March 1946, 7 months #hiroshima. He worked alongside Japanese people for over 2 years. He said they were gentle, kind people and couldn’t believe what had happened in #ww2. He wanted to go back one day but didn’t get the chance. I will go one day.

In 1917, Lutyens and Fabian Ware met to discuss how the #WW1 dead would be remembered. High Wood would be surrounded by a "broad terraced walk". At Thiepval, a terrace was to built, not a memorial, as the scale of the missing was unknown at this stage. Commonwealth War Graves Archives #Somme
