Really is hard to shake the feeling that at some point in the last 5 years, a decent chunk of the population went completely and irredeemably mad. Like, properly insane.

HELP PLEASE. We need more followers to share our Thalidomide story. Only about 40 survivors left in Ireland and we’ve being campaigning for justice for over 60 years. Will you ask for us 🙏 we are running on empty. Main photo @nickbradshaw

If 7th October constitutes “killing everyone in sight”, when 3% of those killed were children: What words are left to describe Gaza, where 31% of those are killed are children? Oh, that’s right: Genocide.

SDLP Leader Claire Hanna went out on Lough Neagh at the weekend and what she saw was horrifying. This is a crisis we cannot ignore. Lough Neagh must be saved.

The best news you’ll see all year💚 Stephen Bradley’s son, Josh, has rung the bell and beaten cancer after a courageous three-year battle. A proud and special day for the Bradley family.

Calling every Palestinian in Gaza “Hamas” has normalized every killing, rape, torture and act of destruction. Forgive us, Marwa, Motaz, Montaser,& the dozens of thousands already lost -along with the millions still trapped in this genocide- for being so late, slow, and complicit.

Electoral candidates Catherine Connolly has supported. Dana. Gemma O'Doherty. Mick Wallace. Clare Daly. That's not a very socalist list. In fact, Connolly seconded Dana for nomination on Galway Council. #Aras25

Did you know that Dublin’s Hodges Figgis bookshop is owned by Waterstones, who are owned by Elliott Investment Management, a company with major Israeli investments? Hodges Figgis also allegedly sacked an employee and warned other employees to not wear pro-Palestinian pins.

With a little bit of courage and political nous Keir Starmer could easily destroy the toxic nonsense Farage talks about immigration. Until he mounts such an offensive against the myths of Farageism he and his party will always lag humiliatingly behind Reform in the polls.

Having done a quick and dirty analysis on a random selection, about 420, of 'You can feel the tension rising in the UK" cut-and-paste posts, I can conclude that 96% have no name, avatar or location, and 83% are automated bots. So who's paying for this? Hmmm?
