Jonathan García Garcia, this is gross. You know as well as anybody else that the contract was bargained between PAT and PPS and the language you see there was agreed on by both parties. Yes, these minimums need to be changed, but not by giving more power to principals to unilaterally decide.

Jonathan García Garcia, if you want to highlight language change by your team, how about PPS striking the words from article 9 “Full Continuum of Special Education Services” for students. Do your job. Find funding for special Ed. Run out of places to look? Quit and donate your 6 figures.

When is the last time a teacher had the power to suspend kids? Last I checked, the decision is left to principals, and thier bosses can reverse any decision made by the building level...

The language states (you know, the part Jonathan García DIDN’T HIGHLIGHT) that PPS must review discipline and providing a report 2x/yr so we can create NEW LANGUAGE 2 address disproportionate discipline. NE1 want to FOIA those reports? Wait... PAT already did and THEY DON'T EXIST.

If the language was the problem, we could have fixed it about 6 months after it was implemented YEARS ago. But PPS didn't do THIER due diligence.
