Infinitely grateful for sheriffs in Fort Myers. They went 2x (yesterday and this am) to our very elderly family members' home to convince them to evacuate. This am the sheriffs stayed until the Uber (grateful for this driver too) was taking them to the shelter. #hurricanemilton

May our lives produce: Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control. May we: Follow Jesus. Do justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly. Love your neighbour. Love your enemies. & flip tables as the Spirit leads.

When I worry about my children, their future, and what kind of world I brought them into, I have so many doubts. But, I recall some people of faith telling me that I brought my babies in with love and am raising them with love and that this world always benefits from more love.❤️

I highly doubt the DNC will learn from this. Just as it didn't learn from 2016. They will blame racism and misogyny, which is real and true, but they will not take responsibility for faults or make needed changes.

The danger of idolatry isn’t that in crafting a lesser image of the divine, we change GOD. The danger is that we change OURSELVES. If unchecked, idolatry chains us and we inevitably take on the worst characteristics of the image we crafted.

No matter how you feel about election results, the job of the church has not changed today. We believe in and preach the gospel. We hope in the Resurrection. We love our neighbors. We cultivate a colony of life in a world of death. On earth as it is in Heaven.

It seems to me that a lot of people don’t realize that “conservative” and “liberal” don’t mean the same things when referring to theology rather than politics.
