A good half of football, for all of the possession that Birmingham have had mainly in their own half, Wycombe have looked reasonably comfortable. We do need to find a way of retaining the ball for longer periods though. But Blooms will be happy!

Pattenden caught flat footed in the build up there but a good goal by the visitors. Feel we need to be a bit braver in the final third, we've never really controlled the game at any stage so far. But all to play for still! #Chairboys

Quality in the box is the big difference today, we've just not quite been at the races. The need to sign another CB is clearly there with Grimmer already called to play out of position 3 games into the season.

It's matchday! It wasn't everyones favourite competition but we were all excited to reach the final in April. I thought Blooms managed the squad well last season and i'd imagine we will see the likes of Franco, McCarthy, Skura, Bartolo, Peart and possibly Dotse all get minutes.

My guess is a 4-2-3-1? Butcher and Bakinson holding and a forward line of Bartolo, Udoh and Sadlier with Vokes up top. If thats the case that would the third formation we have played in four games? Is Blooms still working out his best formation? What do you think? #Chairboys

Not a classic this one is it. What I would say is some players are getting important minutes under their belt and if we have a few injuries,we need all players who are available, ready to play. Excited to see how Christie Ward gets on in this last 20 as well. Wycombe Wanderers πŸ’™πŸ©΅

Leahy coming on to play 15 minutes or so at LB to get injured is a costly substitution, not sure it needed to be made and now a senior player likely to be out this weekend. Blooms will be gutted with that. Wycombe Wanderers πŸ’™πŸ©΅

Neil Critchley has been sacked, completed a full pre-season and built a sqaud to be relieved several weeks later. Ex- Chairboy Richard Keogh placed in charge for now, talk about a baptism of fire!

I am not entirely convinced this is true, It is not a good look for any club to pull out of a loan to sign a player from the same club. CM a position we need to fill but it would be below Potts to return to L1 for another season.

Gideon Kodua returns for his second spell! Still not as many as Jason McCarthy who has 18 seperate spells under his belt for Wycombe.

I'm a big fan of this, an excellent signing and someone with plenty of industry. Something thats just been missing in midfield so far, Blooms isn't hanging about reacting to performances and it's good to see.

Feel like this is an important game today, need to get points on the board especially at home. Rotherham have done as much business as we have and will also want to get going properly. Will any of our loanees start today? I have a feeling Humphreys will. Wycombe Wanderers πŸ’™πŸ©΅

45 gone. Some good passages of play and build up.Udoh working hard between the lines to make things happen. Negatives is that some of our passing has been poor, some simple 5-10 yard passes made to look harder than they are. An injection of energy needed really Wycombe Wanderers πŸ©΅πŸ’™

Much better second half and what a difference the subs made, could tell we needed some energy and credit to Blooms who doesn't wait before making the subs. Great result against a team who will get stronger, we are off the mark! Wycombe Wanderers πŸ’™πŸ©΅
