We see tents as a symbol of the breakdown in homeless services & a band-aid to a dysfunctional system. Sound permanent solutions are needed - sign the petition:

When our petition hit the scene... some thought our ask was too far fetched. 4 years later ...⛺️⛺️⛺️ are still here and the divisiveness about the crisis and pathway to solutions still lurks. Keep sharing the petition tentfreezone.com Leadership needs to answer.

HVS Tent Free Zone SF311 Both 311 and Dean Preston refuse to provide any support to address this property. Even DBI posted a notice and they haven’t followed through. Literally no one will help with this site and it’s utterly pathetic.

post-punked The San Francisco Standard For the record, I think we should bend over backwards to help individuals and families that have fallen on hard times and want to support themselves but just need a hand up. I think “home” is up to each individual - but I would suggest where they have the strongest community

The San Francisco Standard Thoughtful answer. I wonder if the lines are so clearly drawn that anyone stable in SF for any length of time is good enough to filter out all the ostensible problematic transplants. Druggies I knew Panhandle N. were housed but not plagued by opiates. Can we hone our ideas.

Drove by Polk and Ellis in San Francisco. Some of the folks cleared out of Willow alley this week moved here, some were arrested, and a dead body was found in a tent. But 6th and Jessie was worse and is about 100 people deep with drugs a flowin since yesterday was payday.

Wreaks of desperate election season. We admit the validation helps us see that by advocating for a tentfreezone.com it's really what a majority of San Franciscans believe is reasonable aim. Where did all the money go? Time for new leadership.

Shocked that the Chronicle Editorial Board that doubled-down on backing Chesa Boudin, and who is supporting more tax increases while opposing more support for cops/firefighters chose a candidate who stands for nothing with no experience trying to buy the election. Moving on...
