Electocatalysis for near quantitative oxidation of biomass-derived moieties into poly-carboxylic acid precursors. Promising, but SLOW (24 hr rxn). If only there were a way to debottleneck these processes while maintaining selectivity to desired products… hmmm 😉

You can't regulate schools out of doing what's right if they're committed and sincere in their intentions. Current admission policy declared unconstitutional? Fine. Prioritize recruiting from diverse backgrounds across MANY dimensions. Racial diversity should follow organically

The lead author of this paper (Houqian Li) is going on the academic job market this year. If I were a chemical engineering or chemistry department looking for a new faculty member in catalysis, sustainability or plastic recycling I would definitely try to hire @houqianli.
