Policymakers are taking a bipartisan approach to keep treatment decisions in the hands of patients and their doctors. New proposed legislation would limit #PriorAuthorization, an #insurer practice that restricts patient access to doctor-prescribed treatments. Read more below ⬇️

The hard truths must be spoken. The US Healthcare system is a mess. From Production to Delivery from Accessibility to Affordability from Education to Implementation. The middleman is killing the patient. To stand by and accept the status quo is unacceptable.

Come on Delta sitting on the runway for at least 30 minutes waiting for a gate at RDU. You can do better. Going to miss at least some of an important dinner.

How out-of-touch with reality is the UHC CEO? Crying about the focus on #PBMs when it is the #PBM oligarchy that is destroying health care in this country. benefitspro.com/2025/04/18/uni…

Every state needs to pass the Arkansas #PBM bill forcing companies like CVS to decide between having pharmacies or a PBM, but not both. In a shocking decision (haha) CVS going with their PBM and closing stores. Pharmacists, get to your state houses! statnews.com/pharmalot/2025…

Great analysis by Adam J. Fein showing that the top 4 specialty pharmacies control 77% of the business. Note that the top 3 are the top #PBMs controlling 80% of drugs. And CVS and Walgreens are the top chains. Add in the insurance companies owned & you see crazy consolidation.

Let's see if CVS really closes 23 stores in Arkansas. If it does in favor of it's #PBM business, that tells you where the profits are. #PBMs have no inventory or risk. The top PBM oligarchs simply control the pipeline of Rx drugs. drugtopics.com/view/as-a-resu…

BREAKING: Senate HELP Committee GOP Chair Bill Cassidy, M.D. releases NEW REPORT on the broken #340B program that puts money in the pockets of hospital CEOs & PBMs at the expense of patients in need. Just wait to hear the hospitals cry foul. help.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/…

Commend Senate HELP Committee GOP Chair Bill Cassidy, M.D. for the thorough report released this morning on the broken #340B program. Just shows the massive savings that hospitals make but there is no transparency into how savings are used. And #PBMs are making a mint from 34)B.

Packed room at the opening of #COA2025 the Community Oncology Community Oncology Conference. Great agenda & networking talking about the abuses of the #PBM & #specialtypharmacy corporate complex. They are costing Americans money & literally their lives.

Great inspiring keynote address at #COA2025 by David Fajgenbaum, MD Every Cure Just an awesome story and need to really support this effort repurposing existing drugs for different cures.

There are clear examples of waste and abuse in #Medicare that would save $300 billion in reconciliation but Congress & Energy and Commerce Committee not considering. Donald J. Trump needs to understand there are solutions to not cutting Medicaid, which is a loser.

Ted Okon (@tedokoncoa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Says it all. We need “patients before monopolies” not #PBMs destroying health care in this country and robbing Americans blind.

Surprise (not!). Buyer hospitals likely to be #340B and purchased hospitals far less likely to be 340B. keep pulling in those hospitals and physician offices to turn them into 340B ATM machines printing money.

Flat fee for #PBMs, not a percentage of the drug that incentivizes the #PBM oligarchy to favor the highest-priced drugs fueled by rebates. tsscolorado.com/colorado-legis…

Shocked that Donald J. Trump The White House Administration have $300 billion savings right in front of them stopping Medicare waste & abuse costing seniors to overpay for drugs & medical care but are not using in #Reconciliation. Shocked!

Every state AG needs to do this. These #PBM oligarchs need to be sued and called out for what they do — oput their profits over patients! michigan.gov/ag/news/press-…
